The People and Development team at Oscar Mayer is spread across three key teams at different sites, each dedicated to empowering employees and supporting the company’s overall success. From recruitment to career development, the teams work to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for employees at every stage of their journey. A Day in the Life

Each day in People and Development varies depending on the site and business priorities. Tasks include onboarding new hires, supporting business KPIs, managing employee relations, and advising managers on HR matters. Flexibility is key, as each team responds to the unique needs of their respective site while contributing to the broader success of Oscar Mayer.

The fast-paced and constantly evolving FMCG industry presents a key challenge. As Oscar Mayer strives for innovation, priorities can shift quickly, and the People and Development teams must remain adaptable. Each team must navigate new legal, procedural, and operational challenges while ensuring consistent support across the business.

Expectations from New Hires

New hires should be proactive, flexible, and ready to take on a variety of tasks. In the first six months, they’ll focus on learning how sites operate, understanding key procedures, and engaging with the full employee lifecycle. New team members will gain hands-on experience and contribute to Oscar Mayer’s continued success, supporting the company’s growth in a competitive market.
